How do you deal with a self centered “friend” who turned weirdo?

Question by navigate33: How do you deal with a self centered “friend” who turned weirdo?
I went to HS with a girl and we were very close, like family. After college we dated and then went our separate ways. We reconnected years later and she has married….she bragged endlessly about her new life, high profile husband, flashed diamonds and all the great things she has and has done. My friends got annoyed and walked off. She even asked if 2 of us wanted to work for her (we all have professions) and we declined knowing we would be “servants” in her eyes. Later my sister reminded me of how MY FAMILY helped her through rough times, even taking her in for a period of time and now she brags to us of her stuff etc. We were all “like” family at one time and we did a lot for hers. I just want to cut her off at this point. How do you end something like this knowing she will retailiate in the circle of friends? Your thoughts?

I’m on your side she seems like a b. Should tell her off because I’m sure your views on her are unanimous in your circle of friends.
