I am singing it in singing lessons and my teacher asked me to look up what it was about so I could connect with the song more.

I just think of it as a very metaphorical song. I don’t think Katie is necessarily a “little girl,” it seems to me like she’s an adolescent and is referred to as a little girl because she feels and seems so small in the hugeness of life and the world. She’s going through difficulties that are also so much bigger than her, and she says she’ll find a way through without knowing how.
Then she finds some form of self-destructive behaviour. The first thing I thought of was drugs, but it could be alcohol, anorexia, depression – it doesn’t really matter. She refuses to accept that it’s a problem (“you see I have control over me” – her addiction isn’t controlling her, in her eyes.)
And then it’s asking, will you realize what you’re doing and stop? There are people trying to help you and you won’t accept it, won’t get help (“turn a blind eye to all the faces that you know, and she said Go.”)

And then I want A and B also just for the United States

It will be hard to get reliable statistics for the whole world since not every country tracks addictions and drug-related deaths. Also, the word “addiction” is used in many contexts. As far as the US goes:
435,000 Americans die from tobacco annually
85,000 die from alcohol (including drunk driving)
32,000 die from prescription drugs
17,000 die from illegal drugs
7,600 die from aspirin and other anti-inflammatory drugs
0 die from marijuana
These statistics are from the Journal of the American Medical Association, Jan. 19, 2005, Vol. 293, No. 3, p.298.

I dont have major debt or anything
Its just that all I spend my money on is clothe,shoes,purses.. and cant seem to save any money
like If I see something and I like it I may be like no I dont need it and go home but I seriously streess about it until I get it… I either go first thing the next day or order it online
Like I have 5 closets of clothes.. I know I dont need it in my head yet I feel like do… HELP ME STOP please any suggestions?
oh and do NOT suggest throwin any away thats not what Im asking for … I already did my closets were just jammed but now their just normal after thowin out 14 trash bags to charity of clothes.. I just need to not buy much more..its hard.. what are the essentials its ok to buy???
shopping is my hobby… and I love to take pictures in all my dif outfits…ughhhh.. nothing else intrest me in this small town
